Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned (not emergency) first-time total knee replacement on one knee.
  • You are able to read and write in Turkish.
  • Your health status (ASA score) is rated as 1, 2, or 3 (generally healthy to having a stable medical condition).
  • You are not using more than 30 mg of oral oxycodone or a similar strong painkiller daily, and have not used them for more than 12 weeks.
  • You do not have a history of stroke, dementia, epilepsy, or seizures, and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have vision or hearing problems, and do not often get motion sickness or dizziness.
