Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You have chronic pancreatitis with painful stones in the pancreas that are at least 5 mm wide.
  • The stones are mainly in the head or body of the pancreas.
  • You are scheduled to have a procedure called P-ESWL (shock wave lithotripsy) to break up the stones.
  • You have not had acute pancreatitis in the last 3 days.
  • You are not allergic to pinaverium bromide.
