Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a blood cancer (such as leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma).
  • You are scheduled to receive a stem cell transplant from a donor.
  • You carry a specific type of E. coli bacteria in your gut that is resistant to the antibiotic levofloxacin (your doctor can test for this).
  • You are willing to take the antibiotic levofloxacin as part of your transplant care.
