- You must be 19 years old or older
- You must have a new (not previously stented) blockage in a coronary artery that is at least 3.0 mm wide and shows significant narrowing (over 50%) or reduced blood flow
- You must be able to take aspirin and blood thinners (like clopidogrel) without allergy
- You cannot have severe heart failure (ejection fraction under 30%), cardiogenic shock, or a heart attack requiring emergency procedures
