Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with SMA type 5q (a specific genetic form of spinal muscular atrophy)
  • You are currently taking nusinersen (Spinraza) and have been on a stable dose for at least 6 months
  • You have not had an injury or surgery in the past 3 months that would make it hard to do physical tests
  • You are not taking part in any other clinical trial, extension study, or registry for a new or recently approved drug
  • You are not using any other treatments for SMA, such as muscle-targeting drugs or medications that affect nerve signals
