Who can take part
- You must be 45 years or older
- You must have type 2 diabetes
- You cannot have a serious heart or lung condition, or a neurological disorder like Parkinson's disease or a past stroke that makes daily activities hard
- You cannot have other causes of nerve damage, such as heavy alcohol use, poor nutrition, or drug addiction
- You cannot be on long-term steroids
