Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 80 years old
  • You have had a heart attack treated with a stent, or you have known heart artery disease and are scheduled for a stent procedure
  • You have no prior heart attacks, previous stents, or heart bypass surgery
  • You do not have an autoimmune disease, chronic inflammatory condition, active infection, or cancer
  • You are not on medications that weaken the immune system
