Shorter versus longer whole breast radiation for early-stage breast cancer

Who can take part

  • You are female and at least 18 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer or ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and have had a lumpectomy within the past 84 days.
  • Your cancer has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body (stage T0-3, N0, M0).
  • You have at least one risk factor, such as a high-grade tumor, being 50 years old or younger, or having certain features like lymphovascular invasion or positive margins.
  • You are in generally good health (ECOG score 0-2) and willing to use effective contraception if you could become pregnant.
  • You have not had radiation to the chest or chemotherapy before.
