Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older and your overall health is good enough for daily activities (ECOG score 0-2).
- You have been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer (invasive cancer or DCIS) that has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
- You have undergone breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy) and the surgical margins are clear by at least 2 mm.
- You have not had radiation therapy to the chest area before.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and your life expectancy is at least 5 years.
- You do not have cancer in both breasts or any signs of distant spread.
