Study of felzartamab for adults with primary membranous nephropathy

Primary Membranous Nephropathy

Treatments studied

Part of Immune system & allergy, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This study tests whether felzartamab, given as an infusion, can help treat primary membranous nephropathy (a kidney disease causing protein in the urine and swelling). It may reduce protein loss and improve kidney function compared to standard care alone.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with primary membranous nephropathy and your doctor thinks you need treatment to suppress your immune system.
  • You have either just been diagnosed and never had immune-suppressing treatment, or you had such treatment in the past and your protein in the urine came back after a remission.
  • You are taking a blood pressure medicine called an ACE inhibitor or ARB (or a similar drug) at a full or maximum tolerated dose for at least 4 weeks before the study starts, unless you cannot tolerate it.
  • Your urine test shows a high level of protein (UPCR ≥ 3.0 or ≥ 3.5 grams per day) despite this treatment.
  • You do not have another cause for your kidney disease, such as certain cancers, infections, or lupus.
  • Your kidney function is not severely reduced (eGFR more than 30 mL/min/1.73m²) and you are not on dialysis.

Testing a new drug for primary membranous nephropathy

This trial tests a new drug called ALXN1920 for adults with primary membranous nephropathy (PMN), a kidney disease where the immune system attacks the kidneys. It is for people at high risk of their disease getting worse, and it compares the new drug added to standard care versus standard care alone.

Real-world study of primary membranous nephropathy

This study looks at how well a treatment works for people with primary membranous nephropathy (PMN), a kidney condition. It is meant for patients who still have high protein in their urine despite taking standard blood pressure medicines.

Testing telitacicept for primary membranous nephropathy

This study tests a drug called telitacicept for people with a kidney condition called membranous nephropathy. It aims to see if the drug is safe and helps reduce protein in urine, protecting kidney function.

Study of JMT601 for adults with membranous nephropathy

This study tests a new drug called JMT601 for people with primary membranous nephropathy, a kidney condition that causes protein in the urine. The goal is to see if JMT601 is safe and effective in reducing protein loss and protecting kidney function.

Study of a hormone gel for high-risk membranous nephropathy

This study tests a new gel that contains a natural hormone to quiet the immune attack on kidneys. It is for people whose membranous nephropathy is at high risk of getting worse.

Rituximab with steroids or rituximab alone for membranous kidney disease

This trial studies how well rituximab works in primary membranous nephropathy (a kidney condition) either by itself or with corticosteroids (steroids). It aims to see which approach controls protein leakage in the urine and protects kidney function.
