Who can take part

  • You do cardio exercise 3–5 days a week.
  • You can run a 5K (3.1 miles) three separate times over 8 weeks.
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have a compatible activity tracker (like Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, Oura, Whoop, etc.) and can wear it all the time, even while sleeping.
  • You are willing to avoid heavy exercise and alcohol for 24 hours before each timed 5K run.
  • You do not have major heart disease risk factors (like current smoking, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or prediabetes).
