- You have chronic hepatitis B (HBsAg positive)
- You are visiting a non-liver or non-infectious disease clinic (not your regular liver doctor)
- You are not currently on regular antiviral treatment for hepatitis B
- For the survey part: You are at least 18 years old
- For the survey part: You have never taken hepatitis B treatment before and meet Chinese guidelines to start it
- You do not have other serious liver diseases, HIV, hepatitis C or D, or other severe health problems
