Study of Mycoclear and Ciclopirox for nail fungus

Onychomycosis of Toenails

This trial tests a combination treatment for toenail fungus (onychomycosis). It uses a special device (Mycoclear) and a medicated nail polish (Ciclopirox). It may help if you have mild to moderate fungus on your big toenail.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your toenail fungus must be diagnosed with a microscope test (KOH) and a lab culture.
  • The fungus must affect no more than 30% of at least one big toenail.
  • You must have a type called distal and lateral subungual onychomycosis (DLSO).
  • You cannot have used oral antifungal medicine in the last 6 months or topical antifungal nail treatments in the last 6 weeks.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
