Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had a stroke (either from a clot or bleeding) less than 6 months ago.
  • You have a doctor's prescription for physical therapy after your stroke.
  • You can walk on a treadmill for 20 minutes with breaks and support, and stand with your eyes open and closed for 30 seconds.
  • You are not legally blind in both eyes (vision better than 5/10), and do not have certain types of vision loss.
