Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 50 years old.
- You have high myopia needing a prescription between -6.00 and -10.00 diopters, with no major change in the last 2 years.
- Your best corrected vision is at least 20/25 (meaning glasses or contacts give you good vision).
- Your myopia has been stable, getting worse by less than 0.50 diopters per year for the last 2 years.
- You have enough corneal thickness for the procedure (predicted leftover layer at least 250 micrometers).
- You have stopped wearing soft contacts for at least 1 week, rigid contacts for at least 3 weeks, or orthokeratology lenses for at least 3 months before surgery.
- You do not have other eye diseases (like keratoconus, severe dry eye, glaucoma, retinal problems), significant corneal scars, cataracts, or certain systemic diseases (like active inflammation or connective tissue problems).
