Who can take part

  • You live in Roxbury, Dorchester, East Boston, or Mattapan, Massachusetts.
  • You are between 55 and 95 years old.
  • You speak English or Spanish.
  • You do not have air conditioning in your home.
  • You have at least one of these health conditions: heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, lung disease, stroke, Parkinson's, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or you have been in the hospital overnight in the past three years.
  • Your home has a suitable place to install the air conditioning unit provided by the study.
