Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have end-stage kidney disease (kidney failure) and have been on regular hemodialysis for more than 3 months
- You are willing to take part in the study
- You do not have cancer, serious heart or blood vessel disease, serious brain blood vessel disease, or liver disease
- You are not a woman with polycystic ovarian syndrome, on hormone replacement therapy, or pregnant
- You do not have an active infection or an autoimmune disease (where your immune system attacks your own body)
