Who can take part

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with a type of bladder cancer called urothelial cancer (also known as transitional cell carcinoma).
  • Your doctor has recommended surgery to remove your bladder (radical cystectomy).
  • You are not allergic to sulfur hexafluoride or polyethylene glycol (PEG), which are used in the ultrasound contrast agent or in some vaccines.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have a serious unstable condition, such as being in the hospital intensive care unit or having a high-risk heart condition.
