  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You are generally healthy and not taking medications for other conditions.
  • You have gum disease caused by plaque buildup (gingivitis or periodontitis).
  • You do not smoke or use any tobacco products.
  • You do not have other gum problems unrelated to plaque or serious gum infections.
