Who can take part
- You and your partner must be planning to use ICSI, a procedure where a single sperm is injected into an egg.
- The male partner must be at least 21 years old and have a sperm analysis showing at least one problem (low count, poor movement, or abnormal shape).
- The female partner must be between 21 and 42 years old and have at least 11 mature follicles (egg sacs) on ultrasound before the egg collection.
- Sperm must be collected by ejaculation (or electric stimulation) and have more than 1 million total moving sperm. Fresh or thawed sperm is okay.
- Neither partner can have serious medical issues like advanced endometriosis, active cancer treatment, or a condition that makes implantation unlikely.
