Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have symptoms that suggest a stroke, including limb weakness, and arrive at the emergency room.
  • Your stroke symptoms started or you were last seen normal within the last 3 hours.
  • You are not in a coma or unresponsive to touch or voice.
  • You do not have a serious medical condition (such as advanced cancer, severe lung disease, severe heart failure) that requires help with daily activities like walking.
  • You have no history of epilepsy or seizures at the time of stroke onset.
  • You have not had a head injury in the past week.
  • Your blood sugar level is not critically low (below 50 mg/dL).
