Fasting time and stomach volume for GLP-1 patients

Upper EndoscopyGLP1-R-related Disease

Part of Digestive system clinical trials.

This trial studies how a longer fasting period affects stomach contents in people taking GLP-1 receptor agonists (a type of diabetes or weight-loss drug). It helps doctors understand if extra fasting time is needed before an upper endoscopy (a camera test for the stomach).

Fasting before procedures with GLP-1 meds

This study looks at whether people taking weekly GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic or Wegovy) should follow standard fasting rules or a 24-hour clear liquid diet before a procedure. The goal is to find the safest way to prepare.

How fasting affects stomach food with GLP-1 drugs

This study looks at how long fasting and temporarily stopping certain diabetes or weight-loss medications (like semaglutide or liraglutide) affects how much food stays in your stomach. It may help understand how these medications work in people who are overweight.
