Who can take part

  • You are an adult who needs dental implants in the back part of the lower jaw.
  • You have less than 8 mm of bone above the nerve canal in that area.
  • You don't have any long-term health problems that could slow healing.
  • You are not taking bisphosphonate medications (like Fosamax or Actonel).
  • You do not have osteoporosis, nerve disorders (like neuralgia or Parkinson's), or other diseases that complicate healing.
  • You have no tumor, cyst, or other problem in the jawbone.
