Oliceridine for reducing chronic pain after lung surgery

This study tests whether a new pain medication (oliceridine) given through an IV patient-controlled pump can reduce chronic pain after lung surgery. Participants will receive either oliceridine or a standard opioid for pain control after a minimally invasive lung resection. The study will follow patients for several months to see if they develop long-term pain.

  • Are between 18 and 75 years old
  • Are scheduled for unilateral video-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery (wedge resection, segmentectomy, lobectomy, or radical resection)
  • Have a preoperative pain score of less than 1 on the Numeric Rating Scale
  • Are able to understand the study and give written informed consent
  • Are expected to recover in the general ward after surgery
