Who can take part

  • You have congenital hearing loss (hearing loss at birth), with hearing thresholds of 65 dB or more, and you’ve already had treatment like hearing aids, a cochlear implant, or gene therapy.
  • You are between 1 and 35 years old.
  • Your native language is Mandarin Chinese.
  • You are willing to come for evaluations at set times and can follow instructions with help from a guardian if needed.
  • You do not have other ear problems (like ear infections or Meniere's disease) or severe health conditions (like heart disease, hepatitis, weak immune system, or a history of organ transplant).
