This study tests whether the drug Henagliflozin can protect the kidneys in people with advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are not yet on dialysis. It may help slow kidney decline and delay the need for dialysis.

Who can take part
- Your kidney function (eGFR) must be between 10 and 30 mL/min.
- You must have protein in your urine (UACR) between 150 and 5000 mg/g.
- You should not be on dialysis or need dialysis within the next month.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- If your kidney function is 20 to 30, you need to be on a stable dose of blood pressure medication called ACEi or ARB for at least 4 weeks, unless you can’t take them.
- You cannot have taken an SGLT2 inhibitor in the last 8 weeks, GLP-1 meds in the last 12 weeks, or certain other medications as listed.
