Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 1 and 6 years old.
  • The surgery is below the belly button (infra-umbilical) and takes 90 minutes or less.
  • Your child is in good general health (ASA I or II), meaning no serious health conditions.
  • Your child does not have major heart problems, nerve or muscle disorders, or obesity.
  • No known allergies to the numbing medicine (bupivacaine).
