Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a lung nodule or mass found on a scan, with a plan for follow-up or treatment decided by a team of specialists.
  • You are scheduled for a lung biopsy or surgery to diagnose or treat a lung problem.
  • You are between 40 and 75 years old and have a significant smoking history (for example, smoking daily for many years).
  • You do not have any condition that makes a lung biopsy or surgery unsafe.
  • You are willing to be followed for about 30 months.
