Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older with a new or returning sarcoma in your arm, leg, or trunk that has not been treated before.
- Your tumor must be a specific type of sarcoma (like UPS, myxofibrosarcoma, or certain liposarcomas) and be grade 2 or 3.
- Your tumor must be larger than 5 cm on a recent scan and considered removable by surgery.
- You must be generally healthy enough for surgery and have adequate organ function (like blood counts and kidney/liver function).
- You cannot have had prior chemotherapy or radiation for this sarcoma, or have cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
- You must agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
