  • You are a woman who has gone through menopause
  • Your thyroid gland was removed (thyroidectomy)
  • You are between 50 and 58 years old
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher
  • You do not have heart disease or serious joint problems in your legs
  • You are comfortable in water (no fear of water) and do not smoke
