Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 70 years old
  • You are recovering from a stroke or an injury that affected your movement (motor injury)
  • You can walk or move on your own (no loss of independent mobility)
  • You are conscious and alert
  • You do not have any metal implants like a pacemaker
  • You do not have severe metabolic diseases like diabetes or other inherited metabolic disorders
  • You are not claustrophobic (not afraid of enclosed spaces)
  • You do not have an eating disorder like anorexia nervosa
  • You are not currently pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
  • You do not have kidney failure (uremia)
  • You can lie flat on your back for one hour
