Who can take part
- You must be generally healthy (ASA 1) and between 18 and 45 years old.
- You must have one tooth with at least two roots that has a chronic root tip infection (lesion smaller than 2 cm).
- Your infected tooth must be non-vital (nerve is dead), confirmed by cold and electric tests.
- You must have completed initial gum disease treatment (phase 1 periodontal treatment).
- You must not smoke, drink alcohol, or have used antibiotics in the last 3 months or pain relievers in the last 2 weeks.
- You cannot be pregnant, obese, have active gum disease, or have had head and neck radiation.
