Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and planning to have your tonsils removed.
  • You are not having your adenoids or snoring surgery at the same time.
  • You have not had your tonsils removed before.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or blood cancer, and you are not on blood thinners.
  • You are not taking strong painkillers (opioids) regularly before surgery.
