Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a suspected infection (your doctor thinks you might have one).
- You cannot have taken any blood thinner or anti-clotting medication in the last month.
- You cannot have taken any biologic medication for autoimmune diseases in the last month.
- You must not have certain medical conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, pulmonary hypertension, bleeding disorders, or a current or past cancer (except non-melanoma skin cancer).
- You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
