Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
  • You have had surgery to remove the tumor, or a needle-based ablation (like radiofrequency or microwave), and no cancer was left behind.
  • Your doctor considers you at high risk for the cancer returning or spreading after that treatment.
  • You test positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg).
  • You have no cancer found outside the liver (by CT or MRI).
