Who can take part

  • You must be older than 20 years old.
  • You must have had a heart attack or unstable angina (acute coronary syndrome).
  • You cannot already be treated for an underactive or overactive thyroid.
  • You cannot have severe heart failure that came on suddenly.
  • You cannot have advanced cancer.
  • You cannot have a blood clot in your lungs.
