Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes or is moderately advanced.
  • You had a mastectomy (whole breast removal) with reconstruction using an implant or expander, with clear surgical margins.
  • You have completed any chemotherapy your doctor recommended (if needed), and you are within a few weeks of finishing it or surgery.
  • You have not had radiation to the chest or lymph nodes before, and you do not have other serious health problems like active lupus or uncontrolled heart disease.
