Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 and 5 years old and will not turn 6 during the study.
  • A dentist has found at least two signs of a jaw or teeth alignment problem, like a narrow upper jaw or a crossbite.
  • A speech-language pathologist has identified at least one orofacial myofunctional disorder (e.g., tongue thrust, mouth breathing, or speech issues).
  • Your child is generally healthy and not receiving ongoing treatment for a condition like asthma, sleep problems, or behavior issues.
  • Your child's weight is normal (not overweight) and they have not had tongue tie surgery, used any oral devices, or had prior dental/orthodontic treatment.
