Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be awake and able to follow simple commands (like opening your eyes or squeezing a hand).
  • You must be calm or only slightly restless, not overly agitated or heavily sedated.
  • You must not have delirium (no confusion or seeing things that aren’t there).
  • You are expected to stay in the ICU for at least 3 more days.
  • You can speak and understand Portuguese, and you don’t have a psychotic disorder, vision or hearing problems, or neck/head movement limits.
