  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are scheduled for orthopedic surgery (surgery on bones or joints)
  • You can hear normally (no deafness)
  • You do not have chronic pain
  • You do not have a diagnosed psychiatric condition (e.g., anxiety, depression, PTSD)
  • You agree to participate and sign a consent form
