Who can take part
- Your child must be between 2 and 17 years old
- They must have chronic kidney disease with both reduced kidney function (eGFR 20 to less than 90) and high protein in the urine (UACR 300 or more)
- They must be on a stable, maximally tolerated standard treatment (like an ACE inhibitor or ARB) for 30 days before the study starts
- If taking immune-suppressing medication for their kidney disease, the dose must be stable
- Your child cannot have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or be on dialysis or have a kidney transplant
- They must not have had a recent serious infection or be severely underweight for their age
