Who can take part

  • You have chronic kidney disease (CKD) with a certain level of kidney function (eGFR) and, if needed, protein in your urine.
  • Your kidney function (eGFR) is between 20 and 45 (or between 45 and 90 with protein in urine, depending on diabetes status).
  • You are not currently taking certain blood pressure or heart failure medicines called mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (like spironolactone, eplerenone, finerenone).
  • You are not on dialysis, do not have a kidney transplant, and are not scheduled for one.
  • You have not had new immunosuppressive treatment for kidney disease in the last 60 days.
  • You are not taking more than one ACE inhibitor or ARB (blood pressure medicines) at the same time.
