Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old and have received a kidney transplant at least 3 months ago.
- You have either type 2 diabetes or diabetes after transplant with a certain level of kidney function, or you do not have diabetes but have reduced kidney function.
- You have not used an SGLT2 inhibitor (like empagliflozin) in the last 90 days.
- You do not have a history of type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or uncontrolled diabetes with A1C over 12%.
- You have not had more than 2 urinary tract infections per year, a recent serious infection, or a recent rejection episode.
- You are not pregnant, do not have a foley catheter, and have no active infections or recent major heart problems.
