AI vs. standard reading for suspected Crohn disease

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have symptoms that could be Crohn's disease, and a recent colonoscopy either came back normal or showed only mild, nonspecific signs of inflammation (not a clear diagnosis).
  • You must not already have a known diagnosis of Crohn's disease.
  • You must not have other active bowel conditions like diverticulitis, colorectal cancer, ulcerative colitis, infectious colitis, or microscopic colitis.
  • You must not have a blocked bowel or stomach emptying problems, and you must not have used NSAID pain relievers (like ibuprofen or naproxen) within the last month.
  • You cannot be pregnant or have severe kidney disease, and you must be able to swallow a capsule (a small camera pill).
