Radiation to slow melanoma growth after initial treatment

This study tests whether giving precise radiation to a limited number of growing spots can help control melanoma that has spread but is otherwise stable on immunotherapy or targeted therapy. You may join if you have up to 10 growing spots outside the brain that can be safely treated with focused radiation.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have melanoma that has spread to other parts of your body (confirmed by scans)
  • You are currently on or have been treated with immunotherapy or BRAF inhibitors as your first therapy for spread
  • You have 10 or fewer spots of active growth outside the brain (these can be safely treated with focused radiation)
  • You do not have serious medical conditions that make radiation unsafe (like certain rare genetic disorders or skin conditions)
  • You are not pregnant and have no spread of melanoma to the lining of the brain or spinal cord
