Who can take part
- Your child must be between 2 and 12 years old and weigh at least 22 pounds.
- A doctor must have confirmed the flu with a test (like a rapid flu test or PCR).
- Your child must have a fever (ear temperature of 100.4°F or armpit 99.5°F) or at least one moderate to severe respiratory symptom like cough or stuffy/runny nose.
- Symptoms must have started within the last 48 hours.
- Your child must not have taken antiviral flu medications (like Tamiflu) in the previous 2 weeks.
- Your child must not have severe or critical flu (like trouble breathing, confusion, or pneumonia) or certain other major health conditions (like heart, lung, liver, or immune system problems).
