Effects of artificial sweeteners on blood sugar and gut health in type 2 diabetes

Who can take part

  • You are a Malaysian male aged 30 to 59.
  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for 1 to 10 years.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 23 and 29.9 (overweight).
  • You take diabetes pills (not insulin) and your HbA1c is less than 10%.
  • You do not smoke, drink alcohol, or use drugs, and you are willing to avoid alcohol during the study.
  • You have not changed your diet or weight significantly in the past 3 months and are not on special diets like keto or fasting.
