Hyaluronic acid to prevent radiation cystitis in bladder cancer

Who can take part

  • You have muscle-invasive bladder cancer (stage T2 to T4a) that has not spread to other organs.
  • You are scheduled to receive chemoradiation instead of having your bladder removed.
  • You are at least 19 years old and in fairly good health (able to care for yourself).
  • You have normal bladder function and the tumor can be mostly removed with a scope procedure.
  • You have no active bladder infection or had frequent infections in the past 6 months.
  • You are not allergic to hyaluronic acid, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use birth control.
