Mouthpiece help after failed sleep apnea nerve stimulator

This study tests whether adding a special mouthpiece (mandibular advancement device) can help people whose sleep apnea wasn't fully treated by a nerve stimulator implant. You would use the mouthpiece at night and take home sleep tests to see if your breathing improves.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 70 years old.
  • You have tried a hypoglossal nerve stimulator (a device that helps you breathe during sleep) but it didn't work well enough or you couldn't handle it.
  • You can put in and take out a custom mouthpiece (called a mandibular advancement device) on your own and have at least 9 healthy teeth on the top and bottom.
  • You are not using weight loss medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro that are causing active weight loss.
  • You don't have other sleep disorders like insomnia, restless leg syndrome, or narcolepsy, and don't take medications for them.
  • You have a device (phone, tablet, or computer) with a camera that connects to the internet.
