Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You are scheduled to have skin cancer surgery on your leg or foot
- Your surgical wound will be left open to heal on its own (not stitched closed)
- You do not have an allergy to the antiseptic chlorhexidine or the antibiotic mupirocin
- You have not had a Staphylococcus aureus infection in the past
- You do not have a heart valve or joint replacement that requires antibiotics before procedures
